After an extensive regional tour and week as part of the Junction Arts Festival in ...
Theatre is an expensive art form to produce. The Tasmanian Theatre Company employs professional theatre artists who make their living from creating theatre.
Did you know that it costs anywhere between $80,000 to $300,000 to produce a new professional play? That theatre lights can cost up to $20,000 each? or that the cost of most theatre sets ranges from $4,000 to $12,000?
Government subsidy and funding accounts for less than half the TTC’s income. The remainder is raised through box office sales, venue hires, corporate partnerships and donations.
The TTC needs your help to secure the future of professional theatre in Tasmania. The easiest and most direct way to show your support (beyond attending and enjoying locally produced, professional theatre) is through making an individual donation to the Tasmanian Theatre Company Donations Fund.
All donations over $2 are tax-deductible and your donation will play a vital role in the growth and development of professional theatre of which we can all be proud.
