Class Clowns Competition

INDIVIDUAL AND SCHOOL PRIZES TO BE WON!

The Tasmanian Theatre Company produced the Tasmanian final of this annual event on 17th July 2010, at the Backspace Theatre Theatre Royal, thanks to the support of the Tasmanian Community Fund,  Aurora Energy and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

The northern heats of the competition were held in Latrobe on Sunday 11th July as part of the Chocolate Winterfest. Winners of the northern heat  travelled to Hobart for the state final. Comedian Danny McGinlay came to Hobart to MC the finals and presented a workshop for participants prior to the event.

Participating students in Class Clowns must be between 14 and 17 years of age (grades 9-12) and may prepare stand-up or skit pieces, as a solo or with others (max 3 per act).
